Cat-less

What's Missing?? *Hint* It starts with 'C' and ends in 'AT'
It is now the early beginnings of late January. I have been Sally-less since New Years Eve, though I still find remnants of her existence daily. Cat hair (despite how much i have swept, Swiffered, and vacuumed). It just won't go away! And sometimes, in the wee hours of the morning, I can hear the desperate, hungry cries reverberating off the walls of the past. Ok, not really, but you know...

Not having Sally around has been bitter sweet. I throughly enjoy the fact that I can leave doors open, sleep in, and eat in peace. Not to mention that not needing to clean a litter box is a bonus. I don't have to worry about knocking over her water bowl, which I did often, nor do I have to worry about her eating random crap she finds on the floor-actual food or other items like string or hairties. I have been trying not to admit it to people but I  do miss her. *D'oh!* When I wasn't being a cold-hearted bitch, I enjoyed snuggling with her and loving on her. It was rather funny, after Christmas Steph and I were both at the apartment. She was packing her stuff and I was back a day early because I set up a 'get to know you' lunch with my new/current roommate. Sally had been alone for 4 or 5 days then suddenly 2 people magically appeared within minutes of each-other to shower her with love and affection. We were standing in the kitchen. Steph was holding Sally and I came up to greet her by invading her space with my face. She was SO excited that she gave me the longest most intense cat nudge ever. It probably could have been in the Guinness Book of World Records. No joke. It was that long. She put her fuzzy little noggin against mine for what seemed like eternity.  Of course having a cat+moving=not conducive for productive packing. As soon as Steph would empty one box Sally hop in filling it with her girth.

Sally's final moments in the Pine Street apartment were hilarious. We had a mini photo shoot. It was grand...

Our Last Conversation (I don't remember what we talked about.)
Dripping with Sarcastic Cheese
...But then, it got goddamned dramatic...

SO MAD!!!

It may be difficult to tell, or not, but as you can see from her angry tail she was NOT a happy camper. She even has an angry mohawk a la Baby Chan. It always makes me laugh though...she is always soooooooooo desperate to get outside but when she finally does (or if it is not on her own terms) she is pissed off and freaked out.
Guys? Hey? Guys?

Sadness.

Poor bitch hates being in the car. So, those are the last few moments, documented for you.

Don't forget the good times, girl!

I have given Steph the password and all that jazz so now it will be a duel blog. She will update us on the status of the cats (since Sally and Baby Chan now live with her) and I will continue to do the same for Mr. Grumblez. I am excited to see what has been going on!
So far, a cat update via text message today 1.19.12....

Me: How are ze pussays?
Steph: LOL just threw them into the world.

Good to know. Now for Mr. Grumblez....

After Christmas I left to come back to Philadelphia for like 3 days in before New Years. I decided to leave Mr. Grumblez at my parent's house as to not traumatize him more with driving then was necessary. I think for the most part he is used to the car. He doesn't LOVE it but he can tolerate it.

He looks extra grouchy today.

He needs to be brushed yet again even though I JUST did it. I don't mind though. It is good bonding time. Although, I can't just put him on my lap or my bed when I do it because he just hippity hops around or jumps off. I have to make him slightly uncomfortable by putting him in a different place, like the dinning room table for example, so he stays near me. Lately in the mornings he has been incredibly eager to get out of his house. Why I am not exactly sure, he doesn't do anything much except alternate between pushing his fence and laying in pretty much this spot pictured above. He gets so excited and jumps out of his house with such enthusiasm that he slides on the wood floor a bit. It makes me die inside.

I have been buying apples a lot recently so each time I cut one up I make sure to share. He also enjoys little bits of my granola bars and tortilla chips. Last night he had a sneezing fit which freaked me out for a minute until I figured out what it was. I don't think I've ever heard him sneeze. It was kind of cute. With yet another new roommate, he his meeting more people than ever. He is always a huge hit with new people and tends to be on his best behavior when he is meeting them. I get asked a lot of questions since he doesn't look like your typical flop eared rabbit. My favorite is convincing people that yes, he IS in fact a rabbit. I then point out is nose that is always on the move and they believe me.

Well, until next time folks...

Bye.
